COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

MAC HAIK ENTERPRISES and its personnel actively seek to support the community and to participate in contributing to the good of others. Through various charity events, civic organizations, church and synagogue involvement, as well as affiliations and other philanthropic avenues, the associates of MAC HAIK ENTERPRISES understand the value in "giving back."

Mac Haik himself takes the company lead in being personally involved in the community by serving others on various fronts, including Covenant House, The Women's Home, Krause Children's Residential Treatment Center, Helping Heroes and many others. In particular, he has a strong interest in the welfare of children and young people. With a deep conviction that a child's early experiences will shape his or her future, much of Haik's civic service has centered around children. Haik is involved with the Krause Children's Residential Treatment Center in Katy, Texas that serves girls and boys who are emotionally and behaviorally disturbed. He also co-chaired an NFL Players association committee that participates in numerous charitable activities involving teenage drug prevention and counseling. Also, for nearly 20 years, Haik, as Sesame Street's Big Bird, and his associates, in other costumes, have delivered presents to sick children at Texas Children's Hospital at Christmas.

Mr. Haik has also served in healthcare on many fronts. For more than 20 years, Haik has served as a volunteer leader, donor and board member of the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, one of the largest healthcare systems in the United States. In 2001 when Tropical Storm Allison pounded the Texas Medical Center with devastating floods, Mac Haik and many MHE associates worked around the clock for weeks so that the hospital could quickly resume care for many critically ill patients.

In 2006 Mr. Haik received the annual Salute to Dealers award for his outstanding community involvement. Salute to Dealers was established by Ford Motor Company to recognize its dealer principals who not only provide outstanding service and products, but also seek to contribute to those in need within the community. This honor was awarded to only six of the more than 4,638 Ford dealers throughout the United States.

MAC HAIK ENTERPRISES and its associates are dedicated to the good of the community. The company supports the involvement of its associates in charitable work, church and synagogue involvement, and enriching the lives of others. "We've been very blessed and that requires we give something back," says Haik.
